Your trust is the foundation of our work. Here you can read what data we process, why, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.

Data controller

Mind Therapy, Soho, Flæsketorvet 68, 1st floor, 1711 Copenhagen V, Denmark. CVR: 37799742. Email: [email protected].

When you visit the website

The website uses no analytics or marketing cookies and contains no tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from our own server.

Our web server records technical information such as IP address, browser type and time in a log file. This is done for operation and security (our legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Log files are deleted regularly and kept no longer than necessary.

When you contact us

If you write to us by email, WhatsApp or social media, we process the information you send – such as your name, contact details and message – in order to reply (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).

Please share only what is needed in your first message. We would rather talk about sensitive health information in a session.

When you book and attend therapy

Booking and record-keeping take place in EasyPractice. We process your contact details, payment details and the health information needed for treatment.

Health data is processed under GDPR Art. 9(2)(h) as part of healthcare and under professional secrecy. As authorised psychologists we are required to keep records, which are stored for the period required by law – as a rule at least 5 years after the last entry.

Online sessions take place on Kara Connect, an encrypted platform built for healthcare professionals.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We use selected providers who process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement:

  • EasyPractice – booking, records and payment
  • Kara Connect – video sessions
  • Our web host – running the website

External services

The website links to services such as Etsy, Groovesell, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. When you use them, their own privacy policies apply. Some may transfer data to countries outside the EU.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the data we process about you
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have data erased when we are no longer allowed or required to keep it
  • restrict or object to processing
  • receive your data in a common format (data portability)

Complaints

Write to [email protected] to exercise your rights or ask questions. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, datatilsynet.dk.

Children

Treatment of children under 15 always takes place in cooperation with the person holding parental responsibility.

Changes

We update this policy when our practice or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
