How often should I come to a session?

The pace of your progress depends on the nature of your concerns and your commitment to personal growth. Anxiety often improves significantly even after the first session, because you leave with practical tools. Typically, clients notice clear progress after three weekly sessions.

After this initial phase, we adjust the frequency to your needs. You may space sessions out or take a break. Either way, we make sure you have self-help tools so you can continue on your own.

Do you treat children?

Yes. Kristín has extensive experience with children of all ages. For very young children we work closely with parents on challenges such as tantrums, anxiety and insecurity.

As children grow older, we can work with them directly. For children under 12, sessions must take place in person. From around 12 and up, we also offer online sessions.

If you would like us to observe your child – for example if there are concerns about autism, ADHD or other developmental differences – send us an email and we will find a suitable time.

Can you treat social anxiety?

Yes. We start by exploring the thought processes that underpin your behaviour and emotions. This helps us understand the patterns that may be holding you back.

When you feel ready, we set small, realistic goals. They are not just tasks but milestones that gradually build the confidence you need for bigger challenges. Every small victory is worth celebrating – together they build a strong foundation of self-assurance and resilience.

Is online therapy safe?

Yes. We use Kara Connect, a platform designed specifically for healthcare professionals. It works like FaceTime or Skype, with features tailored to health and wellness consultations.

Kara Connect can also be installed as an app on your phone, so you can join from home, at work or on the go.

Is OCD treatable through therapy?

Yes. Both mindfulness and cognitive therapy have proven highly effective in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Mindfulness helps you stay present instead of getting entangled in intrusive thoughts or compulsions. Cognitive therapy helps you identify and challenge the beliefs and thought patterns that fuel the symptoms.

Combined, they give you the tools not only to cope with symptoms, but to regain control over your life.
